@GeekeryDo: @mikeyturvey I agree with you. I stopped reading them because I got tired of it, though @Sir_Narwhal is correct that it's normal for comics.

@GeekeryDo: @Sir_Narwhal @mikeyturvey yeh but that's just one arc and it's easy to read it all since, as you said, it's been put together like that.

@NFern0: @Sir_Narwhal Sounds like (ohoho) specialist equipment. Black Friday is more mass consumer oriented isn't it?

ESC-Toy is one of the few vinyl/resin companies that produces figures for all ends of the specturm: everything from small, cheaper figures for those of us who are broke to super limited, super expensive runs for the avid collector. This post is about the latter, since there are 3 mega-rare figures on the horizon! The first is a ‘Dramatic Bastard’ Pretty Boi cast in gorgeous clear resin and will cost you $250.
Then there’s a coveted S.Maria in Sato retailing for $400, and some custom painted Nathan Drakes all hand-done by Erick Scarecrow himself which will be $500. Each of these are slightly different, so no two are alike! All 3 of these different releases are APs and shipping in the US is only $1 in the ESC shop. These will go live at 11AM EST on the 27th, so get your F5 key ready!

ESC-Toy’s Nathan Drake figure has been a smashing success so far, from the original reveal to the wild limited colorways he’s gotten in the past year. They had the gorgeous Japan 002 colorway exclusive out, along with some other awesome releases. However, the vinyl Drakes weren’t the only thing in this display! It seems that this Uncharted line will be expanding a bit this year. There will be a custom gold painted release of the Square-Enix Play Arts Drake released in late 2012, with only 4 pieces. And then there was the awesome PS-Bot resin figure, though this is a custom and won’t be getting a standard release anytime soon.

As usual, ESC-Toy and Erick Scarecrow have a ton of goodies lined up for New York Comic Con. So let’s just dive in and get started! First up is the online exclusive: the return of Soopa Maria in the “3 Years Later” colorway! This will be available ONLY online in their shop at 10Am EST on the 13th for $200, and with a run of only you better not be late! Everything else will be available at their booth #3015 starting on Thursday. So what’ll be at the booth? Well, there’s a few more members of the S.Maria “family”: Chap-Lynn Ringleader ($130) and 2 Tails ($125). We also have two colorways of the Aldara x Sama in the Ghoul and Purple Oozer colorways at $20 each. I missed the first one, and I really love the ghostly Ghoul version!
There’s also a figure we haven’t seen in a while, Papa Sama “Medici Guard” a collaboration with Monster Kolor for $200. One of the earliest Papa Samas was actually my first ESC purchase! That’s it for the resin, but we’ve got some vinyl figures as well. There’s not one but two colorways of Kisaki–”Cold As Ice” and “Purple Lust” for $250 each. The Cold As Ice one is SO gorgeous! Then there’s Medusa “Dusted” for $300. The Poison Berry colorway is still one of my all-time favorite vinyl pieces, so if you’ve missed out on her before this is a great opportunity. And last but not least, we’ve got the return of Drake from Uncharted! There’s the hyper-limited and hyper-colorful “Japan 002″ for $500 and the slightly less limited Shadow Drake for $250.
While that’s it for toys, there are also a ton of pin collaborations with Frombie for only $5 a pop for those of us on a tight budget. Of all of the offerings, Chap-Lynn is the one both Stephen and I adore, and she might just be coming home with us! If only there was a Yarn Shroom like last year… I really like Yarn Shrooms.

We’ve looked at some of Square-Enix’s game-based Play Arts Kai, like the Arkham series, Street Fighter, Mass Effect, Metal Gear Solid, and Halo, but of course that wasn’t all they had out! We’ve got the adventuring pair of Drake from Uncharted and Lara from Tomb Raider (who, okay, aren’t officially a pair but they belong together!), Dante from Devil May Cry, the lovely ladies of FF XIII-2, Tekken fighters, Kratos, and even more, so check them all out in the gallery below!

ESCToy’s Uncharted 3: Drake’s Misfortune Nathan Drake figures have been up for order for a while and we’ve shown you a lot of pictures of them from their original unveiling to a gallery of them from NYCC and now we have a lot of funky new colors for them! Following up the Scarecrow Blue colorway of Black Friday come the Silver, Limon, and Neo-Tokyo editions of this awesome vinyl figure! First up is the edition of 5 Silver Drake figure, which is quite shiny and awesome! Each of these bad boys retails for $400 with $1 shipping and there are currently two left in the ESCToy webstore, so act fast if you want one!
That’s not all though, the Limon Drake figure, limited to 15 pieces, is also available for $250 with $1 shipping in the ESCToy webstore. This yellow-green colorway is quite unique and interesting looking and I love that it is one solid color; it looks like a prototype! Last, but not least, is the custom painted 1 off Neo-Tokyo Drake, which is already out of stock. I love the crazy purple and red color scheme here and wish that this figure were actually put in production, but sadly it never will be. With all of these, be on the lookout for golden coins inside your box for the chance to win special prints from Erick Scarecrow as well and may Drake’s Misfortune turn into your good fortune!
Also, while we’re on the topic of Drakes, an all purple colorway recently popped up on Erick Scarecrow’s blog as well along with a picture of Nathan’s voice actor, Nolan North, playing with the Drake figures! No word yet on that purple colorway, but we’ll be sure to keep you posted as info becomes available! Have any of you readers picked up any colorways yet or are there any that you’d like to see made? Let us know in the comments below!

Way back before NYCC we showed you a teaser of ESCToy’s main Black Friday release, Armora, and at NYCC we got a full look at the two pieces together. Now that all of the turkey and stuffing have been eaten and we’ve all shown our thanks, Erick Scarecrow and ESCToy are thanking all of their loyal fans over the last six years with three new releases! First up is the large Armora & Dragovo set which stand in at a whopping 18″ tall and 7″ tall and take up almost an entire display case shelf by themselves! This stunning set is limited to 15 pieces and will retail for $600.00 and comes with $1.00 shipping in the U.S.
Next up is my favorite of the releases, Crow Crow Bear Twilight Edition! When I first saw this figure back at NYCC, I knew I had to have one; the blues, yellows, and oranges are just so gorgeous in the clear resin and I can’t have enough of Crow Crow Bear! If you’re like me and need to add this little 6.5″ figure to your collection, he’ll be a run of 25 pieces and retail for $75.00 with $12.00 shipping within the U.S. Last, but not least, is the Scarecrow Blue Nathan Drake figure. This colorway is limited to 100 pieces and will retail for $49.99 with $15.00 shipping inside the U.S. only — sorry international folks, this guy can’t leave the border! This piece will also include limited DLC for Uncharted 3, so if you want the special DLC be sure to act fast because there aren’t many of these beautiful blue little guys!
Well, that’s it for this year! Armora & Dragovo, Crow Crow Bear Twilight, and the Scarecrow Blue Drake are all hitting the ESCToy webstore at 12 am EST in a little under half an hour, so good luck to all and congratulations to ESCToy for making it to six years!

The other day we showed you about the new pink Mermadi release from ESCToy, but that’s not all that’s happening in the world of Erick Scarecrow currently! Today we received an e-mail with a few other new pieces that are on the horizon from this toymaker as well including more information about the Uncharted 3 Drake figures as well as a new colorway of Pinnola!
First up is the new colorway of Pinnola, which is the OG release and is in a pink, yellow, and orange colorway. Like the pink Mermadi, we saw this back at NYCC, and now, a short time later, we have its release upon us. This OG edition will be a run of 20 pieces and this 6.5″ figure will retail for $135.00 with $10 shipping within the United States. If you need a new puppet girl for your collection, Pinnola will be releasing on November 18th, 2011 on the ESCToy webshop, so act fast before she becomes a real girl and runs away with someone else!
Next up is the secret pink Mermadi release, which –SURPRISE– is now available! This all pink colorway that is an edition of 5 is now available on the ESCToy webstore for $300 each and is one gorgeous colorway. Speaking of gorgeous colorways is the final bit of info from this latest e-mail: the Scarecrow Blue Nathan Drake figure from Uncharted 3 is almost ready for release! This all blue colorway will be available immediately upon release in late November, so keep your eyes out for it, and don’t forget to pre-order the OG or Naughty Dog colorways now as well as they come with DLC for the game and are quite stunning in person to boot!
Well, that’s it for this week! I can’t wait to see what’s next from ESCToy and let us know what you like that you see here in the comments below.

ESC-Toy has had a lot of popularity with their Drake vinyl figure, and two of the colorways have already gone up for order. But it seems like those aren’t the only editions of this treasure hunter, because at NYCC they showed off two snazzy new monochrome colorways. The first one is a gorgeous blue that really shows off the details of the sculpt. The run size of this edition has not been announced, but it should be coming in late 2011 so we’ll have more news on it soon!
Then we have a solid silver edition, which had no info at all so I assume that it will come after the blue. Or perhaps pre-orders will go up at the same time, like they did with the original two colorways! As much as I like the original ones, I think the solid colors really suit this figure and give it a sleek, classy edge.

It’s finally here! The full pictures of the twice teased ESCToy Uncharted 3: Drake’s Misfortune Drake vinyl figure are here! Coming in both the original or Naughty Dog exclusive colorways, both of which are now available for pre-order for $49.99 each, this is going to be one amazing figure. As mentioned before, this figure will also come with exclusive DLC and will be limited to an edition of 500 pieces of the Naughty Dog edition with no size given on the original colorway. I love all of the detail on this 7″ tall figure; the many colors on his outfit, the writs bands, and the bags strung around him are all amazing and the execution on the beard and gun are top notch.
That’s not all though, Erick Scarecrow had a few other items up his sleeve this week with the surprise reveal of the Mama Sama Iro Korudo, a clear resin Mama Sama in a gorgeous blue and pink colorway. This secret release for September is the 6″ Mama Sama figure in an edition of 10 and will retail for $250 with $1 shipping and more information on the release will come soon. ESCToy also teased a collaboration with Steff Bomb for New York Comic Con where she will be signing at the ESCToy booth from 3-4pm on October 15th. Lastly, the Cosmic Crow Crow Bear will be going up for auction this week and the orders of Mermadi and Upchuck will be shipping at the end of September.
It seems like quite a busy time in ESCToy land between new vinyl figures, new resin figures, and things for New York Comic Con like the Turtum Micci mini resin figures, so stay tuned here at Plastikitty for more information and let us know what strikes your fancy in the comments below.

About a week ago we showed you Erick Scarecrow of ESCToy‘s designed Drake vinyl figure from Uncharted 3: Drake’s Misfortune, and now, we have a better look at this final figure, which shows his whole pose as well as his head. Now, we have the final teaser before the full reveal, which shows Drake from the back and shows his outstretched pose as well. The detailing is amazing here and, again, I really just love the transition from 2D to 3D. If you’re looking to add Drake to your collection, you can pre-order him in the original or Naughty Dog exclusive colorways now and stay tuned for the full reveal soon.
