  • <p><a href="http://www.plastikitty.com/?attachment_id=83014" rel="attachment wp-att-83014"></a></p> <p>Square-Enix is known for their oversized action figures, but they are going in a different direction for the new <em>Nier: Automata</em> line. These Bring Arts (not the catchiest name) are about figma-sized, and super articulated. I’m glad to see a cheaper and daintier option from them! They showed off YoRHa No. 2 Type B and Machine Lifeform. They also had a ridiculously cute set of Trading Arts minis and some fancy jewelry if that’s your jam.</p>

  • <p><a href="http://www.plastikitty.com/?attachment_id=82840" rel="attachment wp-att-82840"></a></p> <p>I must admit that there was one reveal I was really hoping for from Kotobukiya this convention: a <a href="http://www.plastikitty.com/home/sdcc-2017-evil-dead-hellraiser-bishoujos" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Bishoujo Pinhead</a> art reveal! Sadly, it was not to be. They did have her info card out, and I feel like we might be getting a Halloween reveal for the design. At least, I hope–it’d be the perfect end cap to Spooktober.</p> <p>They did have quite a few game and movie Bishoujos, like the gorgeous <a href="http://www.plastikitty.com/home/sdcc-2017-street-fighter-bishoujos-chun-li-cammy" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">new Cammy</a> and Decapre, along with the art for Ash Williams.     Aniplex Announces A Slew Of New Figures

    Ah, Aniplex. Maker of prices that make my heart sing and my wallet cry. I will admit that I only own a scant few of their pieces because 1) insane pricetags and 2) exclusives. It’s a bad combo! But once again, I am impressed with their new lineup and want them all.

    We have 4 announcements today! First off, we are getting more Fate/Apocrypha figures: Mordred and Astolfo. Their amazing Ishtar is also painted!     Of course they always throw us a few curveballs (no Dragon Ball Z?!) and at least one pleasant surprise. This time around it’s C.C from Code Geass! Of course her dress is coming off because recently MH has been incapable of making a female character who isn’t halfway disrobed or busting out of her top. Android 18, Chi Chi, now C.C…. sigh….. she’s sexy enough already!

    Ah, Flare: they make your faves but never paint them, and when they do, they’re insanely expensive. Can you tell I have a love/hate relationship with them? They seem to be moving at a solid pace with some of the announcements from last WonFest, though: Saber Bride and Gwendolyn are both painted, and we have a Nier update.

    Sadly, no news on Asuka or Blindi, but we do have some new figures: Golden Darkness, a new Elin, and Odin Sphere minis!
