  • To LoveRU Darkness sure does seem popular this Wonder Festival! There was Alter’s Yuuki Mikan… who we can’t show you, and Max Factory’s wedding Mea Kurosaki… which we also can’t show you. Now we have something we CAN show you because… it’s an announcement! Art Spirits will be doing Mea Kurosaki in black battle gear and Momo Belia Deviluke in her school gear. I’m really hoping we see some Golden Darkness and Lala figures soon! Maybe wedding Lala? What’s that, you say? Why am I talking about possible Max Factory figures in an Art Spirits post? Because Art Spirits is super boring okay and I already have a devil outfit Momo and wedding Momo so really, how thrilled can I be about boring school outfit Momo. But let’s be honest I’ll probably buy her. [via Mogyu To LoveRU]

  • Gift is very selective about the figure sculpts they take on. They produce a handful of figures a year, and it’s always an odd mix: super stylized things like King Arthur or Toda’s Homura, and then giant bikini babes. Yeah, strange to say the least. Their newest addition to the swimsuit line? Sena Kashiwazaki from Haganai. She reminds me very strongly of their Tamaki, only with a derpy face. It’s like… almost Sena, but not quite right. Let’s hope it turns out better with paint! And speaking of their swimsuit figures, I see a big Soniko on their horizon… [note: also in the gallery are Gift’s trio of Fate, Nanoha & Hayate loli 1/4 scale figures and their 1/7 Houki Shinonono] [via Akibahobby]

  • Racing Miku figures come out like clockwork. We get the new designs at Winter Wonder Festival, the Nendoroid or figma goes up in the meantime, and we see the other (along with the scaled figure) at the Summer event. And since we’ve already gotten Nendoroid Racing Miku 2013, it was clear we’d be seeing the figma at the event: and here she is! Along with, as you can guess from the header, Good Smile Company’s scaled figure of her which I am liking a lot more than I thought I would. [via Akibahobby]

  • You’re probably sitting there scratching your head thinking “who the heck is Pulchra?” Well, they’re a brand new figure company! Because we certainly don’t have enough of those, right? They had two scaled figures at Wonder Festival, the first of which is a Vocaloid… that isn’t Miku! Oh happy day! It’s Yukari Yuzuki from Vocalomakets. She’s 1/7 scale and slated for a December release, so I guess they plan on painting her very soon! The second figure is one I am very excited for: Noire, from Hyperdimension Neptunia! What’s up with all the Neptunia figures suddenly? I mean, I’m not complaining but… it’s just.. a lot all at once! I hope we get a Green Heart soon. Like Yukari her release is soon, in January, so we should see pricing in the near future. [via NicoNico]

  • I’m always complaining about the lack of Neptunia figures, but it seems like companies are finally listening! Clearly, it’s just because of my internet whining that this is happening. Please leave your thanks and devotions in the comments. Anyway, Art Spirits is making Black Heart! They’re kind of  a new company and their quality is kind of mid-tier so I’m not expecting anything fantastic but it’s better than nothing! I do hope she is at least dynamic though, I’d hate to have her just standing around like the art shows. Give us a cool pose! [via Figure/GK]

  • Every year, MegaHouse is without a doubt the most disappointing company at Wonder Festival. They’re one of the biggest PVC producers, yet year after year they bring nothing new. You know what new figures they had this year? Umi Kousaka from IDOLM@STER Million Live!, which we’re not allowed to show you. LITERALLY THAT IS IT. Oh, and announcements for Melda Dietz and Juuzo Okita from Uchuu Senkan Yamato 2199. Wow. Of course they had lots of figures we’ve already seen from Dragon’s Crown, One Piece, Devil Summoner and more that you can check out in the gallery! Meanwhile I’ll just sit over here and sulk. *grumble grumble* [via Akibahobby]

  • Orca Toys is such a mystery. Their Bunny Tamaki and Cat Tamaki were absolute Tama-nee perfection. And then… okay, I don’t even know what is going on with half these figures. Cat Sasara is lovely in her own way, but Cat Manaka is an epic trainwreck like oh my god so bad burn it. And Nurse Tamaki, THE FACE OH GOD. There’s a random Asuna with too-long scary arms, a spindly Last Order, and a Rias Gremony who I suppose is passable. Then… you get to their Kuroneko, who is so lovely! She’s awesome! And the Erio, wow! Pretty! What is going on! Is Orca, like, two companies? One named Orca who makes nice figures, one named Toys who needs to die right now. [via Akibahobby]

  • Usually you expect a mix of ToHeart ladies and weird chicks on bicycles and stuff from Kaitendoh and WonFest. Well.. okay, we have one bicycle figure, but it seems like they’ve moved their attention to Eiyuu*Senki! Who would have guessed. Weird, right? They have King Arthur and Drake sculpted, and teaser art for Ivan Raitei that makes it look like the final figure might not be safe for work. Then there’s an awesome sculpt from Battle Coliseum and announcements for figures from Pastel Chime 3 and Dungeon Travelers 2. [UPDATE] The Battle Coliseum figure & King Arthur are from Embrace Japan, not Kaitendoh. Sorry for the error! They also announced a figure of Youmu Konpaku. [via Akibahobby]

  • Let’s be honest: BEAT is far from the best of companies. In fact, they’re pretty close to the bottom, but they consistently produce figures of characters they know will sell so they stay afloat. And this time around they’ve shown of versions of both my waifu (Tamaki) and Stephen’s (Soniko, who we knew was coming) so I won’t give them too much of a hard time. And hey, the Sasara is pretty cute! And to be honesty, I like their (totally out of left field) Misae Suzuhara more than Native’s. But of course it’s not all sunshine and boobs. The Vispo sculpts they’ve picked up are just… bad. Really, really bad. Like oh my god I can’t believe you’d try to sell these in 2013 bad. Wow. [via Akibahobby]

  • Every Wonder Festival I hold out hope for Native. Maybe they’ll go back to how they used to be–tasteful, elegant, beautifully sculpted. Nah, they’re gonna make figures of a girl leaning over taking pics of her butthole! Yeah! Totally what I want! Seriously, they had one new announcement and it’s what I described–Aoi Mukou from Kimi to Kanojo to Kanojo no Koi to match their dead-eyed Sone Miyuki. Some figures from last WonFest are sculpted, though not the one I was looking forward to most (Mebae’s brightly colored futuristic nurse/mech/whatever girl). Oyari Ashito’s new figure is sculpted and I must say she’ll make an excellent companion to Mordina. Then we have abec’s seated girl, who got pushed through to paint/sculpt rather quickly, Tony Taka’s befuddling real cloth on a toilet seat figure, the perplexingly-proportioned CuteG & Fio sculpt (what is up with her head size?), and the official art for Raita’s Yui Nitta which, shockingly, I am actully looking forward to. [via Akibahobby]
