Because, well, she’s super boring. She got <a href="http://www.plastikitty.com/home/wave-shows-off-3-new-beach-queens" target="_blank">an invisible Beach Queen</a> already, and now it seems like <a href="http://www.plastikitty.com/home/nendoroid-akari-akaza-is-one-dramatic-figure" target="_blank">her Nendoroid rendition</a> is getting the ghostly treatment!</p> <p>This is actually kind of a neat idea, as long as she comes with more than the parts we see here! We only have one shot of her but I assume (read:pray) that there is more. She’s an exclusive but thankfully not of the frighteningly expensive kind: you can snag the bundle of her and the Yuru Yuri CD <a href="http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail?gcode=MED-CD2-12295&page=top" onclick="javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackEvent','outbound-article','http://www.amiami.com']);" target="_blank">at AmiAmi</a> for ¥6,825. She’s coming out in June, which gives you a while to save up!</p>

    Akari Akaza Gets An Invisible Nendoroid… Literally

Even with the massive amount of delays that came late in the year it was just totally jam-packed with releases. In fact, this might actually be our biggest month of orders… ever.     PVC Pre-Order Roundup: 12/23~12/27

    [Editor's Note: You may have noticed that the PVC Pre-Order Roundup went missing for a few weeks. Due to medical reasons and the bustle of the holiday season we were unable to put in the large amount of time this feature takes. After all, it's just two of us!     Magazine Scans: December 2012

    Welcome to the last batch of Hobby Japan scans for 2012! That’s right, the year really is drawing to a close. Which means thinking of a list of our favorite figures, working on golden butt and boobie awards, and oh yeah.. scans! We already saw the announcement of Irma but of course that’s not all (though honestly there’s not as much new as usual this time around). We’ve got lots and lots of swimsuit girls, and a few gems thrown in. We will be sure to update if any more go up, but for right now this is all there is!

    AlphaMax’s Swimsuit Akari Akaza From Yuru Yuri

    When we first saw this sculpt, I found it very ho-hum. I mean we have a ton of Akaris and a ton of swimsuit figures, she just didn’t seem very special. Well she’s not exactly the best swimsuit figure ever, but boy is she cute painted! Her hair and face in particular have fantastic shading and coloring, plus the pose and inner tube are too cute to resist.

I have to admit, this is probably the most exciting prize fair in a while. It’s jam-packed with awesome, the star of the show being a set of Persona 4 Arena prize figures from Taito based on their game art. It includes pretty much everyone but Rise (sigh), including, yes, Kanji and Naoto! Plus, the poses are AMAZING! Seriously, look at that Yukiko.</p> <p>We also have a surprising and sfw figure of Tamaki. While she’s popular in the scaled world I think this is actually her first prize figure!     The 30th Prize Fair Features Persona 4 Arena, ToHeart 2, And More!

    Is it just me, or do prize fairs happen pretty much nonstop? The 29th was only a short while ago, and the 30th is already here! I have to admit, this is probably the most exciting prize fair in a while. It’s jam-packed with awesome, the star of the show being a set of Persona 4 Arena prize figures from Taito based on their game art. It includes pretty much everyone but Rise (sigh), including, yes, Kanji and Naoto! Plus, the poses are AMAZING! Seriously, look at that Yukiko.

    We also have a surprising and sfw figure of Tamaki. While she’s popular in the scaled world I think this is actually her first prize figure!     Miyazawa Model Exhibition Fall 2012: AlphaMax’s Akari Akaza

    Akari Akaza from Yuru Yuri sure does seem to be getting a lot of attention, despite the fact that she’s rather a joke in the actual anime.     Miyazawa Model Exhibition Fall 2012: Alter’s Akari Akaza

    It’s been a while since she was first announced, but Alter’ Akari Akaza is finally painted! I wasn’t that impressed with the original sculpt, especially when compared to Mirakurun, but she does look rather cute painted. Not, you know, spectacular: this is definitely one of Alter’s simpler figures, but she does have a certain charm.
